ABOUT THE ROLE:
Crossian is a high-growth technology-driven e-commerce business. Behind our success is our people. As a start-up formed in 2020, we have created a fast-paced and dynamic environment, enabling our people to reach a cumulative average growth rate of over 1000% in just under 3 years. Our mission now is to build direct-to-consumer brands and increase customer lifetime value.
As our Legal Executive, you will be the frontline defender of Crossian's brands and designs in the global e-commerce and fashion market. You will take full ownership of day-to-day Intellectual Property (IP) operations, focusing on copyright/trademark registrations, monitoring copycats, and aggressively executing takedown processes. This role is a great fit for a resilient, detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys fast-paced environments and wants to build hands-on experience in global IP protection.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Core responsibilities (must-have):
- Handle filing, prosecution, status tracking, and renewal across trademarks, industrial designs, patents, and copyright in international markets — including clearance searches, keeping track of application status, and paying maintenance/renewal fees on time.
- Keep the IP portfolio in good shape — tracking deadlines, reviewing what to maintain or newly file, and flagging anything that needs attention.
Supporting responsibilities (will develop on the job):
- Support IP enforcement on e-commerce platforms — monitoring for infringement, handling takedowns, and coordinating with external counsel and authorities to resolve cases.
- Assist in reviewing and negotiating IP clauses in commercial contracts (licensing, distribution, and manufacturing agreements), helping to flag IP risk.
- Provide day-to-day IP support to internal teams on campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and general questions.
